Photographed at 7:00 in the evening in mid-December. It was 0 degrees and my batteries kept freezing – I went through four just capturing the images.

This is a multi-row pano, three rows of 24 images and a zenith of 12 images. No wide angle lens was used as I wanted as much detail as possible. I created the ice patch for the nadir. I was too darn cold to shoot images downwards, and my final battery was just about dead. Walking back to the car, the tripod froze to my jacket.

This is my favorite pano of the year for many reasons, including the technical aspects (multi-row, time exposure, etc.). The resulting imaage was over 20,000 pixels wide.

This is a local park (Centennial Park, Oak Lawn, Illinois, near 93rd and Ridgeland.) It's one of the largest parks in the area, and a spot I often use to test new equipment. Each of the images in this pano are 2 second exposures.

More images of the area can be seen at http://www.walkoaklawn.com

Equipment
Bogen Tripod, Bogen 303SPH head, Nikon Coolpix 8700 (F2.8, 24bit, ISO-50, Shutter Priorty.)
