Planten un Blomen (it's a german dialect word and means = plants and flowers)

"Planten un Blomen" with 47 hectare is the largest public park in the heart of Hamburg.

Founded in 1953 by association of several privat gardens and the "International Exibition of Garden", this public park serves their visiters with trimmed greens, small lakes and splendores flowers.

In this panorama we stand in front of the "Wassertreppe" (aquastairs) with a few of the "Hamburg Television Tower", which is with 279 meters the highest building of the City.

12,6 % of the area in Hamburg consist of parks, which means a high value for public leisure in this 1,7 mio inhabitant City.
