Caption
Located on the "right Bank" of the River Seine between the Normandy and Paris, Giverny has kept its medieval atmosphere, soaked in an incomparable light in which the impressionism movement was born. In 1883, the famous French impressionist painter Claude Monet moved to a house in the Village where he planted a large garden which he painted for the rest of his life.
