In the defense of our nation the sky's the limit. Luke Air Force Base is located 15 miles west of Phoenix Arizona. Named after World War I Medal of Honor recipient Lieutenant Frank Luke Jr., a former Phoenix native. Luke AFB is a major training base for F-16 fighter pilots. Construction of the base started in 1941, today the base has a population of over 7,000 military and civilian personal. I would like to thank 1st Lt Gordon for escorting us around the base, that is Gordon standing next to his F-16.
