The famous Vienna "Naschmarkt" shortly before end of day. While people settle their last purchases, a salesman sells his last ciabatta bread at a favourable price.

The origins of the market go back to the 16th century. At that time "Asch" was the name for a milk bucket made of wood. In the 19th century people started to call the market "Naschmarkt", a wordplay because of the fresh food and sweets from virtually any place of the world that could be bought. The Naschmarkt is a place that gives new meaning to the word "multicultural" as you can hear semmingly any language from Chinese to Turkish and smell any type of food from fresh fish to rose jelly.
