Best of 2011, what does that really mean? Is it the best shot in my opinion, the most dynamic and awe inspiring shot, or is it the best day to be a photographer? Well for me Wednesday, Dec. 28th, was the best day I had shooting panos. After finishing a client’s work in an adult care location and decided to take a winding road over a mountain out of the way to get home. Along that trip, a sign appeared saying Cunningham Falls parking lot with an arrow pointing right. Even though it was cold and windy, I set off in search of the “falls.” After about a mile hike the sound and sight of the falls appeared. After a brief moment figuring how to cross the stream, I wound up where I took this shot, on the middle level of a multi-step falls. During the shot I was surrounded with the noise of the falls, hawks flying over and felt this most wonderful sense of well-being so it's certainly one of my bests.

I spent about another half an hour sitting and listening to the peace that this location provided. So is this the “best” image I captured during 2011, probably not.

It was the “Best time” I had being a panographer, so yeah, this was the “best” that I had during 2011.

I hope 2012 brings us all more “bests.”
