Several bridges over the Highway A5 near Darmstadt are renewed this year.
For breaking down a bridge or setting the new parts in place, the highway needs to be closed fore safety reasons. To avoid big traffic jams, this is done as short as possible and mostly during the night at a weekend.

The panorama was taken on the temporary bridge of the B26. The highway A5 is below us, one direction closed for the work on the new bridge.
The new beams for the bridge arrived on the temporary bridge and the two cranes which are lifting them to final position are standing on the highway itself.

No matter how the weather is, the people on the construction site will work. And this time it was not nice. I shot my first rain panorama. My main equipment part was, besides the camera and the pano head, my umbrella. Not for me, it was for the lens!
