This old attic is the highest level of six-storey building, erected in 1938, just before the World War II. Located downtown Warsaw, on a border of three large city districts: Srodmiescie, Wola and Ochota, the building was severely damaged during the German occupation. It witnessed the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. After the World War II, it was rebuilt.

Thanks to small windows offering a way inside, the attic used to serve as a sanctuary, a shelter for pigeons during cold winter months. However, a few years ago the windows were crated, which banned the birds from inside.
