This is the Thone Room at Kyungbokgung Palace where official meetings and formal gatherings were held during the Joseon Dynasty. I like this panorama since it shows Korean architecture and intricate detail on a scale that is rare. Some historical info: Kyungbokgung was the main palace during the Joseon Dynasty's 500 year history (1392-1910). It was built in 1395 by King Lee Seong-Gye (King Taejo), when he moved the capital city from Gyeseong to Seoul. The word 'Kyungbok' translates to 'Shining Happiness'. The name was given as a tribute to the happiness and prosperity of Joseon's Kings, and the Korean people.
