This may not be my best panorama of 2006, but it is one of several favorites I created this year. The reason I selected this panorama was the juniper tree feels very three dimensional and the other strong textures seen. Technically, I used a high dynamic range series of photos to capture the scene. I knew shooting from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon with October mid-day lighting would create strong harsh shadows . Also a few minutes prior to taking the pictures, the camera fell off the tripod, cracked the lens and broke off some parts. Luckily I was able to put the camera back together enough to take the panorama - with a cracked lens.
