This year I built my own panocar and during the summer I drove around with it capturing the scenes in many tourist locations in Portugal and this was the project that gave most satisfaction.

I built it for several reasons.

First, because when I started making panoramas I was inspired by reading this story about Hermann Seitz and I never forgot it.

Second, because I have a 7-year-old son that doesn't like to go taking pictures with me because I am always dancing around the tripod!!! I needed to find a one-click solution for making panoramas, photography should be fun and capturing the spirit of the moment is a bit lost with the complicated setups that we use to make panoramas.

Third, because I needed panoramas from most tourist destinations in Portugal quickly.

I spent a couple of months developing the project and by May, 2008 I was driving my panocar around making test shots. After shooting with it in many locations, I must say this is fun. I recovered the pleasure of capturing panoramas with one-click. There is no turning around, no worrying to not get in the picture, etc, every image it's just a click away...
