The murals in the lobby of Willard Straight Hall, the first Student Union on the Cornell University campus, represent aspects of the ideal human character. They were painted by Ezra Winter sometime during the early to mid-1900s.

Although empty during my photography in late May, this room normally buzzes with throngs of students and University staff. In addition to the offices of the Dean of Students, the building holds a dining room, movie theatre, ceramics studio, bank, reading room, great hall and many other facilities for student use and enjoyment.
