I must admit that this is certainly not the common way to make a panorama. It may be somehow purely instinctive as I felt compelled to do it this way.

Feeling like doing so may be the result of Evolution:

Our ancestors used to crawl into caves to print a positive or a negative images of the palms of their hands on the walls with charcoal or tinted clay. The palms of my own hands are the walls of a cave while the extensions to these pseudo-rock faces are purely "digital."
