Mäuseturm with Low Water

This year we didn't have much rain in the spring and summer. The result: The Rhine and other rivers had low water. The level was much lower than usual, so low that it was possible to have a walk in the riverbed of the Rhine.

Some people were even able to reach the Mäuseturm on its small island by foot. Sadly my rubber boots were missing a few centimeters in height to reach the island with dry feet. So I took my HDR panorama at the point where I turned to go back with dry feet.

I have some more panoramas from that day but this one is the only HDR. The weather was nasty but a lot of people were around to take the opportunity to have a walk in the riverbed of the Rhine. Even a band was playing on a small hill in the river bed!
