Passing this single tree on a bicycle tour inspired me to shoot a panorama for the Forests event. A forest consists of many trees, this could be one of them. You see more trees all around, where you can speak of a forest.
I shot the panorama with the help of a philopod and my Sony NEX 5 with the 16mm lens and the attached fisheye converter.
See a stereographic reprojection of this panorama on my homepage.
Apple Safari iOS devices: built-in web browser Android Tablets, Mobiles:Google Chrome strongly recommended. Warning: Panoramas are big pictures. Insufficient RAM may cause your browser to quit unexpectedly!
For some panoramas made before 2009:
Quicktime VR plugin, which is part of Quicktime 7
Note: Panoramas from 2009 and newer will work on most mobile and desktop devices. Older contributions will require Flash, some will only work with Quicktime VR.
