Brookside Gardens is a display garden developed and operated by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Brookside Gardens is dedicated to serve the public through innovative horticultural displays, knowledgeable staff, and excellent educational programming.

Brookside Gardens opened in 1969 with a core of gardens surrounding the Conservatories, a growing greenhouse, offices, and library. Subsequently the Gude Garden, Rose Garden, and other features were added. Today the Gardens encompass nearly fifty acres, and the maturing landscape is complemented by changing displays of new and interesting plants and gardens.
