Behind the scene : how this panorama was made
Was a nice sunny day, after a rainy week, normal in a city in the last drop of the rain-forest; before i did the photos i talk to the people around to have their permission to take the pic, you may know that some people does not like to be in pictures, specially the "indigenas" so in every shoot i did i ask for authorization to avoid troubles, some times people give it, a lot of times they go angry and refuse; in this special pano the selling people was around my age (30y/o) and some younger, to my surprise all the younger and i mean all, use the net, even the kids around 8 years old which parents sell flowers or traditional medicinal herbs, amazing! isn't it? well, the lady who sell on the floor say ok, the others around agreed to be in the pics too and when i was positioning my tripod i saw a men begging standing up i saw him and asked him for authorization to be in the pic too, he smile and say that there was no problem happy to be considered as part of the subject or environment that my market has, even he straightened a little and stand still posing to my series of pics =) in a very proud begging modeling if i could say that, the people around was saying Hi to the camera, the girl who sell "nopales" and edible flowers on the floor with yellow shirt, ran to next stand and leaved her sister standing up, but my beggar, stood still; so my market has a little bit of everything, you may see all kind of vegetables that small producers from around my city sell, some people buying in the traditional mexican way, some modern indigenas (natives from here, now mestizos) selling direct on the floor and a very proud begging men which gives my market place panorama an incredible human touch, so from the real Mexico (not the one that is promoted by the tourist agencies) and the people which live here, be welcome to the heart of my city.
