The most significant buildings of Osnabrueck are located at the Markt - a historical marketplace in the Old Town. The most famous one is the historical town hall with the small steeples. In the town halls of Osnabrueck and Muenster the negotiations of the Peace of Westphalia had been held that ended the Thirty Years' War. Every year a historical Christmas market starts in the last week of November at this marketplace. Also other market events like an eco market or a middle ages market are held at this marketplace. A webcam at the dormer window of the town hall shows an actual view of the marketplace. The panorama shows a 720 degrees view from day to night.
