Canberra, the bush capital was in its early days described as "A good sheep paddock spoiled". Never the less, its rural setting remains a major part of its charm with pastures bordering suburban encroachment.

Drought conditions withstanding, here we see the effects on ground cover as sheep graze one side of a Barbed Wire fence.
