The bronze marker at the Four Corners Monument is the only spot in the United States where the borders of four states meet: Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. It is a perfect four-cornered perpendicular intersection, a geo-political construct establishing sovereignty over the land. (Ironically, the Four Corner Monument is operated by the Navajo Nation.)
The first marker, placed here in 1912, was replaced in 1992 by this large bronze disk. Anyone cruising down desolate U.S. Highway 160 can't help but stop, pay the three-buck admission, and straddle four states at once.
