So Long and Thanks for All the Fish

The title is from the fourth book of the "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" trilogy by Douglas Adams.

This panorama was composed with the Bryce 3D modelling program, using several photographic and computer-generated images

The original concept came to me while thinking about global warming and about what we all are doing to the atmosphere.

This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself. - Ted Perry, attributed to Chief Seattle.
