Theme
The panorama shows the nave of the church "Johannes der Täufer". It was this church, where a lot of things happened for the first time in my life as a member of a Christian parish. Just to name that I was baptized in this church. So this place was one of the natural choices for this theme.Be sure to view the additional viewpoint on the gallery of the church, which is reachable via hotspot.
Making Of
The shooting was done with a tripod and a ball head. The lens was mounted with a custom made bracket, which allows to mount the lens to turn around the no-parallax point of the lens.As the lens is a fisheye lens, four pictures easily cover 360°. But due to the lighting conditions I took two exposures at each direction. The exposures were approximately two f-stops apart. The darker set was only necessary because of the very bright windows. The windows of the second exposure set were manually blended with the use of masks in PSCS3.
I took four additional pictures for the zenith and nadir. Luckily the stitching went pretty well and I didn't had to use these pictures.
