Bethlehem Beginnings - spring has begun with grass starting to turn green and trees budding out. The beginnings to Bethlehem were started by Moravians settlers who created the Colonial Industrial Quarter. The 1754 Waterworks - believed to be the first municipal pumping system to provide water for drinking and washing in the United States was restored in 1970. Other colonial buildings include the restored 1761 Tannery, 1750/1761 Smithy and 1869 Luckenbach flour mill.
