Henry, on the left, and Kenny have been cooking Huli Huli Chicken for fundraisers for the past 15 years. Today is for a hula halau (Hawaiian dance group) whose members are under the tent taking care of sales. Henry and Kenny have been at it since 5:30 in the morning and are cooking the last of 450 chickens. Although the phrase “Huli Huli Chicken” is legally protected they have the permission from the company to use the name since they are cooking and selling for fundraisers in their community.
