Caption
The Toll House at the town end of Clopton Bridge over the river Avon was built 20 decades ago in 1814. One unusual aspect of the building is that it has ten sides. It was used to collect tolls only up to 1839, since when it has fallen into a sad state of repair. However, after the recent acquisition by the Stratford Historic Buildings Trust, things are looking up and hopefully a new use for the building will be found that will ensure it is restored to a proper state of repair. It's not very accessible, and was here photographed from the premises of The Lazy Cow Restaurant.
