Caption
The Snake River has three modest impoundments for hydro power. The dam manages to preserve much of the original falls for which the town is named. The scene is taken at the river bank just beneath a hotel. Despite a modest urban area, my unexpected assistants were a large river otter who visited me several times, and a goose, who was able to sit still for the numerous several minute exposures. My first serious pano. And...next time I will use a pano head! Slightly crooked panos are a nightmare to fix!!
