The default view of this panorama is looking north, or up river, on the Susquehanna River in southern Pennsylvania, USA. Just out of view down river is the Holtwood hydroelectric power plant and dam, which creates Lake Aldred below. The Susquehanna River watershed drains a large portion of the state of Pennsylvania and a smaller area of the state of New York. This location is just a few miles above where the mouth of the river meets the Chesapeake Bay in the state of Maryland.
