On Sunday my family and me went to the Krieler Pfarrfest, an annual celebration of the local catholic community. There is always a lot of fun for the kids and the parents, too. Nearly every parish here in Cologne celebrates such a community event in early summer. So they profit from the good weather for the outdoor games, concerts and beer drinking. The Krieler Dömchen, an old roman village church is Cologne's second oldest sacred building, built about 900 AD.
