A chapel without any surrounding community nestles in the hills just on the outskirts of Larnaka. Nearby I spotted a mixed herd of sheep and goats, other than that there was just myself and my dog - visable. However, there were candles burning in the chapel lots of decorative icons, and the chapel looked well used. There are hundreds of such small churches on this Island, all isolated but all well tended and obviously well used. Where does their community come from......
