On June 20, 2009, to celebrate 500 years since the coronation of King Henry VIII of England, actors representing King Henry VIII and Queen Catherine of Aragon travelled up the River Thames in a flotilla of traditional skiffs. The flotilla departed the Tower of London accompanied by up to forty traditional oared craft destined for a party at Hampton Court Palace.
