Everything you see on this side of the Kevlar anti-fall netting will very soon become a forgotten place. The window glaziers were on the 21st floor when I shot this so the anti-fall netting will be the first thing to go. Everything will be covered over with “office stuff” (my apologies for being so technical) and will never be seen again. In the future this will be the only record of what this space looked like when it was under construction, so look closely at the construction graffiti and ephemera of the last major building to be constructed on 42st Street. And, yes, that building in the background in the opening view is where King Kong took Fay Wray on their first date.
