Food, water, sun and air give every living creature the energy to exist. But one of the biggest sources of energy that we need to survive is a peaceful state of mind. The Art of Living Foundation is a world-wide non-profit, humanitarian, educational organization that teaches people the science of breath. Our breath is our most vital source of energy and relieves much of the toxins built up in our bodies; however, most people use only 30% of their lung capacity. Through the breathing techniques taught in a six day Art of Living workshop, participants are given life-long tools that improve the quality of life by increasing energy. With increased energy; clarity, relationships, interactions, health and a peaceful state of mind are greatly improved.
I attended the first Art of Living workshop taught in Berlin, Maryland, September 9-14 in the Stillwater Studio. The panorama shows myself and Phase One Art of Living instructor Kate Bassett demonstrating meditation and various yoga poses.
