Food, water, sun and air give every living creature the energy to exist. But one of the biggest sources of energy that we need to survive is a peaceful state of mind. The Art of Living Foundation is a world-wide non-profit, humanitarian, educational organization that teaches people the science of breath. Our breath is our most vital source of energy and relieves much of the toxins built up in our bodies; however, most people use only 30% of their lung capacity. Through the breathing techniques taught in a six day Art of Living workshop, participants are given life-long tools that improve the quality of life by increasing energy. With increased energy; clarity, relationships, interactions, health and a peaceful state of mind are greatly improved.

I attended the first Art of Living workshop taught in Berlin, Maryland, September 9-14 in the Stillwater Studio. The panorama shows myself and Phase One Art of Living instructor Kate Bassett demonstrating meditation and various yoga poses. For more info on the Art of Living Foundation or to take one of their courses, check out ArtofLiving.org.
