It's interesting how a major source of energy, (in this case hurricane Katrina), can negatively affect other types of energy. You can't see the price of the gas at the top of the pump directly, but pan around and you'll see it in the reflection of the car's window.
Right now, probably all of Europe is thinking, "hmmm, their price for gas is STILL lower than ours, and what a fuss they are making." True. And to make matters worse, we drive the biggest gas guzzling vehicles on the planet.
So, what can we do? Well, we can start by making little changes at home. In this case, a VERY little change, notably a 1972 Austin Mini, which gets about 40 mpg around town. We have actually comfortably fit four adults in this car. I have more headroom in it than any other car I've been in, and I'm 6'1"!
OK, enough preaching. Enjoy the pano!
