The Story Extensive tourism like in Davos needs a lot of energy to keep the town alive. In winter season a big part of the energy is used to run mountain funiculars and cableways to transport the tourists to the famous locations like Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Pischa and Rinerhorn to celebrate their wintersports like skiing, snowboarding, hiking and also flying back to Davos with a delta or hangglider. In the winter season Lake Davos with its water is used to produce electric energy to run the mountain railways. There is a big water pipe from lake Davos towards Klosters (also really famous you know, Prince Charles stays there for skiing) which can be controlled and run a water turbine that produces a certain amount of electricity to keep a lot of things running. There are hotspots added to the fullscreen panorama to name the different regions of Davos. Can't find them? Make the hotspot regions visible with the button on the status bar (bottom left) Only available in Fullscreen. The hotspot of Parsenn is linked to panoramas I made in winter season '04/'05 and also presented on panoramas.dk Also some energy was needed by me to hike to the top of Seehorn where I took the panorama for this event. It took me about two and a half hours of hiking. From Davos (1560 meters over sea level) it is an elevation of about 700 meters to the top of Seehorn.
