The 'Queen of Scandinavia' is a large car ferry serving the line IJmuiden (Netherlands)- Newcastle (UK), and is a beautiful example of transportation of people, vehicles and goods across the sea.
When the ferry came within shooting range, the low sun flared suddenly through the clouds rendering more than half of the panorama sequence useless.
Fortunately, I had shot a full panorama sequence under better light conditions about 20 minutes before the ferry's arrival.
The final panorama, as shown here, combines this earlier panorama with two images of the ferry. It attempts to convey a sense of movement, one of the key characteristics of transportation.
