East Passenger Bus Terminal (TAPO)
Mexico city has four large bus terminals located in the four cardinal points. The East Passenger Bus Terminal (TAPO) designed by Arg. Juan Jose Diaz Infante, was inaugurated on November 21, 1978. It is located in the east part of the city, near the Legislative Palace and the Federal Justice Palace, 1.6 km from the Historic Center downtown, and near the international airport, Benito Juarez.
This transportation station provides service to 14 East and South states of the country and transports an average of 2,750,000 passengers a month, more than 91,600 daily passengers. There are 3,000 buses that come and go a day and their installations cover an area of 89,979 square meters.
