Lock and Bridge at the river Rhine near the city of Breisach. The river here marks the border between France and Germany.
Freight ships passing night and day on their way from Basel in Switzerland to Rotterdam in the Netherlands and back. You can see the open floodgates, a ship is just entering a lock chamber.
The area around the lock, the natural river and the canal is called Vogelgruen.
