The river Neva is a powerful transport artery of the northwest of the Europe. The first construction of the new Russian capital, the Peter and Paul Fortress, occupies the central position in the architectural ensemble of city center, and the Peter and Paul Cathedral with its high bell tower is one of the main landmarks of Saint Petersburg. The silhouette of the Peter and Paul fortress became the main symbol of the city on the Neva River. Some of the best architectral buildings of fortress are Nevsky gates with Commandant's landing-stage. This is main output from fortress on Neva has gained in 1787, after realignment by project of N.A. Lvov. Now here is located parking the promenade tourist naves.
