The colors of autumn in the southeastern United States are normally the reds and golds of fall foliage, but late September is a month to six weeks early for these.

September is, however, when the fall harvests of pumpkins, gourds and winter squashes begin to appear in the markets, as in this farmer's market in western North Carolina. Farmer's markets, which feature produce grown locally by small farmers who sell directly to the public, are the first to offer these items, which can be edible or decorative.
Equipment
Nikon D300, Nikon 10.5mm, 2 meter monopod, Nodal Ninja 3, PTGui Pro, Cubic Converter, Photoshop CS3, 2.4gHz Intel Macbook Pro
