This pano was shot on the Hohenzollern rail bridge across the Rhine River in Cologne. This is my first WWP event that is not shot at my home town, so in a way it is also a crossroad in my participation to WWP.
The Rhine River is one of the longest and most important rivers in Europe. It goes across several countries and has been used since the Roman Empire as a main waterway to transport goods. Going from one side to the other has not always been that easy but nowadays there are many roads, rails and pedestrian ways that go across the river.
You may also see this entry for a different perspective of the bridge and river.
