Theme

I've chosen a crossroads I shot some three years ago for the Atmosphere theme. However this time the crossroads was closed for the usual car traffic. The yearly procession before the opening of the Oktoberfest took place. The innkeepers of the huge Oktoberfest tents march towards the so called "Wiesn". The road is closed and thousands of spectators watch horse drawn carriages, musicians and even oxen.

Making Of

The shooting was done with a monopod which allows for easy and fast rotation. The lens was mounted with a custom-made bracket which allows me to mount the lens to turn around the no-parallax point of the lens. I took three exposures at every direction and then used exposure fusion to combine the different shots. However in the end I've chosen the medium exposure and just used the fused part for the sky.
