La Central Hidroeléctrica Rapel, entró en operaciones en 1968, de una imponente estructura forma el lago artificial más grande Chile, el Lago Rapel. En él confluyen el Río Cachapoal y Tinguiririca que a la salida de la Central recibe el nombre de Río Rapel.

Ubicada en la Cordillera de la Costa y con más de 110 metros de altura es un importante centro de generación de energía eléctrica del país...

Por esta razón, parece un buen candidato para el tema "Energy".
