I hope that nobody will be disturbed by this VR.

During the work to drain the water and the humidity from the church of San Girolamo in Bagnacavallo many burials have been found. This is a very ancient church that in the 1496 was enlarged and was dedicated to San Girolamo. During 1688 the church was destroyed by an earthquake but she was reconstructed again.

These burials are dated to the beginning of the eighteenth century. There are many cells like these, each cell belonged to one family. In one of these cells lies the father of the famous Venetian comedy writer Carlo Goldoni. He was a family doctor in Bagnacavallo.

The "metafora" of the "border" is represented by the edge of the manhole.

Equipment

Hardware: Nikon D70, Nikkor 10.5, my left arm and my left hand.
Software: RawShooter essential, Hugin, Photoshop 7, Pano2QTVR.

The photos have been taken by hand free, with my arm inserted in the manhole and "Jocking" eight shots around.
In order to illuminate the cell I have make use of the D70 small flash.
The upward photo has been taken outside the manhole.
