When looking for ideas for this event, I was trying to find something complex and grand. I talked about it with my fellow counsellors at Summit, and someone suggested the new garden we have been planting right here at camp. I thought it was a great idea and we went out to the garden. I am the one outside the fence.

This photo shows several gardens. First, the actual garden we are standing in, growing our own fruit and vegetables. We started this garden only a few weeks ago, and it has seen lots of care from Tare (the one watering the plants) and Emily (the one weeding in the other corner).

The second garden is camp. We all work at an outdoor adventure camp for kids, where we strive to present our campers with challenges and opportunities to grow and learn. Tara runs our leadership programs for 17 year olds, Emily is our head instructor, and I am a cabin counsellor and rock climbing instructor. Through camp and the amazing resources we have in the area we are able to provide an incredible experiential education for kids from all over the world.

I hope you are having a wonderful year, and enjoy the garden you are in.
Camp Summit - outdoor adventure residential programs for children 8-15, and leadership development programs for 16-17 year olds.
