The eleventh century ruins of the cathedral at Bagrati, overlooking the city of Kutaisi, in Georgia, are still considered an active place of worship by the Georgian Orthodox church, as evidenced by the icons on the front wall, and on the stand in the center. The soaring walls of the roofless structure inspire the observer to speak in only in whispers, even though the feeling is one of being in the outdoors. Lighting of the central icon was courtesy of the July afternoon sun coming through the empty window portal near the top of the west wall, behind the viewer.

Equipment
Nikon D70s, with Nikon 12-24mm lens set at 12mm, 3 rows of 8 images plus zenith, Nodal Ninja pan head, PTMac 4.1 on a G5 Macintosh.
