To the South of Newhaven over looking the harbour entrance is Castle Hill nature reserve but as the name suggests many fortifications have stood on the hill over time. Since the 16th Century there has been a Fort to protect the Harbour itself, revamped frequently the site is now a Museum of its many incarnations.

On the top of the Hill itself is now a Coastguard lookout which responds to many varied incidents and of course the local PMR radio mast.

This was my first trial of using a new fisheye lens and handheld ring mount so reasonably pleased with the results.
