Atmosphere made me think of one thing right away. We are surrounded by it everywhere we look and yet when we hear the word, we tend to look to the heavens. Man has always tried to reach up to the highest parts of our atmosphere. And with the building of skyscrapers, we are able to work in it at heights far above the constraints of the ground below.

I went to a building that has an old helicopter platform that is on top of the building. There you are surrounded by the upper atmosphere without walls or barriers. It is not the highest building by a longshot. But it is the only one that has a completely unencoumbered view of the rest of the buildings around it as well as the atmosphere surrounding it. It is a peaceful view where you feel as if you are almost among the clouds and the many other skyscrapers reaching higher like so many towers of Babel.
