Caption
Now a museum, this estate was originally the home of George Eastman (1854-1932), founder of Eastman Kodak Co., inventor, photographer, and philanthropist. This 50-room home was built between 1902-1905 by local architect, J. Foster Warner. Eastman lived in it from 1905 until his death in 1932. The morning of the World Wide Pano shoot was grey and cloudy. Snow and rain followed later, making for a poor day for outdoor photography. There are lots of great attractions and beautiful scenery in our area. However, I chose this location to highlight our city's connection to photography.
Equipment
Six shots taken with a Nikon CoolPix 4500 and FC-E8 fisheye lens on a custom panoramic head, stitched with PTGui and PanoTools, retouched in Photoshop, and converted to QTVR with PanoCube Plus.
