Noumea Entertainment at l'Escapade Island Resort

The dancers of Te Avae Hao performing at l'Escapade Island Resort on Saturday the 19th of September. Te Aveae Hao means Friends of the Moon - appropriate for the weekend before the solstice.

These lovely New Caledonian girls trained at Studio 66, a dance school in Noumea headed by Priscilla Marty, the best dancer of Heiva Tahiti in 2000. I have to tell you that their performance to the thundering Tahitian drums really stimulated the appetites of the guests enjoying the seafood buffet. And for desert everyone had the opportunity to dance with the performers (and each other) until late at night.

I was really impressed with how much fun the performers had doing the show. Their joy seemed to fill them with unlimited energy - if you've ever watched Tahitian dancing you know what I mean. And then, when the performance was over, the music continued and the girls and the guests danced the night away.
