This is what the entire village of Pier looks like. Abandoned and forgotten. Doors and windows barricaded.

People have to continue their lives elsewhere, because of open-pit coal mining. In the next few years, Pier will be taken down and the earth under it will be excavated by huge digging machines.
Equipment
Camera: Panasonic DMC-LX3, LA4 adapter, LW46 wide-angle lens.
Shooting: handheld, 14 bracketed shots, 42 pictures.
Software: Dcraw, Tca_correct, ImageMagick, Hugin, Enfuse, Enblend, PTEditor, GIMP.
